RC Lens

Racing Club de Lens is a football club located in the North of France in the City of Lens. RC Lens was founded in 1906 and is known for its famous Red and Gold kits. These kits symbolize that crucial industry of coal in Lens with the Gold representing coal because it was so valuable at the time and the Red representing the blood of the miners. Similar to RC Lens London, RC Lens prides itself on maintaining and portraying their values of fighting spirit, fair play, and dynamism in everything they do on and off the field. RC Lens currently plays in Ligue 2 in France and is on track this season to secure promotion to Ligue 1. Even though RC Lens is in Ligue 2, they are much of a sleeping giant in France with a very passionate and loyal fan base backing them every step of the way. RC Lens had much of a golden era in the 1990s winning Ligue 1 in 1998 and the Coupe de la Ligue in 1994 and 1999. Additionally, in the 1999-2000 season, RC Lens had a fantastic run in the European Cup before being eliminated in the semi-final against Arsenal. However, this was not before they defeated Athletico Madrid in the Round of 16 and Celta Vigo in the Quarterfinals. Additionally, RC Lens has both developed and had fantastic players play for them in the past. Players such as Thorgan Hazard, Geoffrey Kondogbia, Serge Aurier, Alphonse Areola, Hilton, and Raphael Varane. RC Lens London is thrilled to have partnered with such a big club at the top level of our beautiful game, and are excited to continue into the future representing the RC Lens brand here in London.
